        Who We Are

The Philadelphia AIDS Consortium serves as the only consumer driven, conflict free comprehensive, regional voice for both persons living with HIV/AIDS and community based organizations that provide needed services.

We are a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to serve Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). We do this in four ways:

1.   Advocate for the interests of PLWHA in the formulation of public policy and community commitment.

2.   Provide technical assistance and education to local HIV/AIDS service organization to better service PLWHA in our region.

Our Board of Directors reflects demographics of PLWHA. Similarly, our staff is multi racial, multi cultural, multi disciplinary and multi lingual.

        What We Do

We strive to empower Persons Living with HIV/AIDS to access and manage their health care by providing needed resources, medical care, and information.

We also serve as the parent organization of the ACTS (Access to Care Through Service) Corps. Over 55 ACTS Corps members work in four sites in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware to provide HIV infected and affected persons with the tools and resources necessary to manage their own health care and to improve their quality of life.
